About This Site
What AI Dental Tools Is
AI Dental Tools is an independent resource for dental professionals evaluating AI in their practice. We track FDA 510(k) clearances for dental imaging AI, test general-purpose AI tools against real dental workflows, and publish honest comparisons of the products competing for your attention and budget.
The site is organized around four pillars: Clinical AI (imaging diagnostics, FDA clearance tracking), Practice Operations (front desk automation, clinical documentation), Growth (patient communication, review management), and Prompts (tested, copy-paste templates for dental-specific tasks).
How We Research
Every article states exactly what was tested and how. If we used a tool's free trial for two weeks, we say that. If we only reviewed the vendor's documentation and FDA filings, we say that too. We don't pretend a press release is a product review.
For FDA clearance data, we source directly from the FDA's 510(k) Premarket Notification Database and De Novo Classification Database. We include clearance numbers so you can verify everything yourself.
We show failures alongside successes. If a prompt template worked well for treatment plan explanations but fell apart for insurance pre-authorization letters, you'll read about both outcomes.
What We Don't Do
- No vendor sponsorships. Tool reviews are not paid placements. If that changes, it will be disclosed.
- No lead selling. We don't collect your information to sell to software vendors.
- No clinical advice. This site covers AI tools and workflows, not clinical decision-making. Nothing here replaces professional judgment or patient-specific evaluation.
- No marketing language. You won't find "revolutionary" or "game-changing" here. A tool either does the job or it doesn't.
Who Runs This
AI Dental Tools is maintained by an independent editorial team focused on the intersection of AI technology and dental practice. We are not affiliated with any AI vendor, dental software company, or DSO.
Questions or corrections? Accuracy matters more than being first. If you spot an error in our FDA data, tool reviews, or prompt templates, we want to hear about it.
